Short answer: Identify whether your PETLIBRO Polar PLAF109 has the original plastic bowl or numbered stainless-steel bowls. Match the food to the sections selected in the app. Use Reposition This Schedule only if it appears for a waiting, automatically repeating schedule. If the tray fails to rotate fully, use PETLIBRO’s separate rotation checks. Keep another feeding option available until the scheduled section opens correctly.
What owners report
In one Polar owner thread, an owner with the stainless-steel bowl said scheduled meals sometimes opened to the wrong or empty section. A second owner question described the older plastic-bowl feeder moving away from the only filled section. These are individual reports, not evidence of how often the issue happens or proof of a single cause. The two versions also do not necessarily use the same position cues.
| What you see | Start with | Don’t assume |
|---|---|---|
| Empty section opens at meal time | Compare the app’s selected section with where the food was loaded | That the motor or schedule is faulty |
| The tray stops between sections or does not finish a turn | Check ice and tray seating, then use PETLIBRO’s rotation test | That changing meal names alone will fix incomplete rotation |
| Numbered stainless bowls do not match the app | Align the bowl numbers with the meal positions shown in your app | That plastic-bowl instructions apply to the numbered version |
| Manual rotation works but a meal still opens wrong | Check repeat status, selected sections and refill position | That a manual turn proves the schedule is correct |
1. Identify your Polar bowl version
PETLIBRO offers an original plastic-bowl PLAF109 and a stainless-bowl version with number marks aligned to app meal settings, according to its product page. The support hub also has a separate tutorial for fitting stainless bowls to the original plastic-bowl feeder. Bowl material alone therefore does not identify which setup tutorial applies; check whether your feeder is the original platform with replacement bowls or the stainless-bowl version.
Before resetting, note the bowl version, number marks and app-selected sections. Photograph the tray and screenshot the meal plan; do not infer order from another version’s diagram.
2. Reconcile the food, app and refill position
PETLIBRO’s schedule instructions say to select the sections containing food and enable Automatically Repeat Schedule. On refill, load the sections matching the app positions.
If shown, PETLIBRO says to use Reposition This Schedule after refilling with the lid open, then close it. The option appears only in Waiting to feed status with automatic repeat enabled; the support page says to repeat this step daily. If absent, check status and bowl version rather than forcing an older workflow.
3. Test incomplete rotation separately
If the tray visibly fails to complete a turn, use PETLIBRO’s PLAF109 rotation troubleshooting:
- Disconnect all power sources, including backup batteries, for more than five minutes.
- Open the top lid and check for ice in the refrigeration area. If present, let it thaw before cleaning it as directed by PETLIBRO.
- Put the food tray back in its correct position.
- PETLIBRO then says to reconnect using the original charger, reset the feeder and reconnect it to the app. Its troubleshooting page does not specify the reset method; use the instructions for your exact version or ask support before resetting.
- Manually open the sliding lid and use the app’s rotation control to check whether the tray completes a turn. Then set up a meal schedule and test again.
Supervise the test and make sure your cat can get food another way. Rotation checks movement; a schedule test checks section selection and timing.
When to contact PETLIBRO
Contact PETLIBRO through its support ticket page if rotation still fails or the wrong section opens after the checks. Include PLAF109, bowl version, app/firmware version if visible, schedule screenshot, tray photo, incident time and steps tried. Do not leave an empty section as the only meal available.

Quick questions
Does manual rotation confirm the meal plan is correct? No. A manual turn checks movement; test a scheduled meal separately to confirm the selected section and timing.
Why can’t I find “Reposition This Schedule”? PETLIBRO says it is available only when automatic repeat is on and the schedule is waiting to feed. Bowl versions also have different setup materials; confirm your version first.
Do numbered stainless bowls prevent every empty-slot issue? No. They align with app meal settings, but check the loaded bowl and schedule; contact support if they still disagree.
